I wanted a new suitcase while living in Hong Kong, I was offered two, high quality made in Taiwan or cheap one made in China. I had always considered stuff made in Taiwan as cheap, clearly they have now cleaned up their act.
The same will likely happen with China, they will start to get better and better quality control, I have seen processes move out of the UK to Poland and it is not the Polish workers at fault, but fact they did not have 30 years experience which we had in the UK and the products went down in quality, so we sent out QA staff from UK and quality went up again. Same will happen in China, they will learn how they need a good reputation to sell quality goods.
I leave my leads plugged in, sockets not in best location, not noticed any problems.
