Soffit Downlights

I’m looking to put some downlights in the soffit for my extension. However I am after a blue type of light - whats the best type of light and lamp for this?

I have done a few searches on this forum but haven’t found an definitive answer.

And what is your soffit made of?
Also, do you want this for decoration or do you want to illuminate something.
If you want illumination, what is the distance from your soffit to the (whatever you want to light up)

Sorry forgot to say its plastic soffit and its more for effect than to actually light up anything.

So, you do not want halogen lighting as they get very HOT. Not good for plastic!

If you want blue then go for a blue LED lamp.

Find a GU10 downlight that you like the look of and put these in it:

Are they going to get a hosing down under your soffit?

I would have thought that IPx4 would be fine unless they are going to get soaked.
