Soft close seat tightening

One of our seats has gone loose, ie the whole lot moves like one of the nuts underneath needs nipping up, but I'm sure it's the type tightened from the top as there's no access behind. The guy who installed it would be more than happy to help, but he's out of the country.
Here's the fixing, a solid metal block with 2 tiny screws at the front, I've removed them but can't see how to get the seat off. I guess it must lift straight up, but it won't budge & I don't want to break it.
Does anyone know how one of these is taken apart or do I await the return of my installer fella?

I fitted one of these on Friday.

Undo and remove the 2 allen key/ tiny screws in the metal block.

Once removed the complete seat and lid should lift straight off.

Remove any covering caps to each side on toilet to find a screw in each fitting which can be re-tightened. Making sure the distance between both fitting are the same as on the seat as the seat will have to fit back onto the fittings.

Cheers, will have another go. The only way seems to be up but it won't budge.
I do however have a 6 year old son who's aim isn't true so some fluid may have caused a gluing effect. Will have another go when I get home & report back.

Thanks for the help, but they (I've got 2) won't shift at all. Most frustrating. I tried a little leverage & they moved, but it was the whole fitting that moved, didn't want to force it for fear of wrecking the porcelain.
Will have to await the return of my fitter.

A bit of a revisit on this thread. I've now got the instructions for this seat

The hinge assembly slides off as you can see.

Problem is they are stuck fast, I'm in danger of damaging the pan with the force I'm putting on. I think my son's poor aim is the cause of them being stuck.
Any tips on unsticking them failing that I think I'll have to take a hacksaw to them & get new hinges.
