Hi, in the next few weeks I hope to complete my OFTEC and CORGI assessments, can anyone recommend PC software that could be used to store customer details, flag reminders when an annual service is due etc?

Thanks
Glyn

I use Microsoft Office Outlook 2003. It works fine for such things as you describe, but it doesn't go on to produce invoices and deal with accounting, unless perhaps you know how to modify it and integrate with Excel.

It might be worth considering purpose designed software if you could get good recommendations from users. I'd like to have an all-in-one system that more or less automatically went on to do invoicing and accounting. Any suggestions anyone?

There are a few on the market these days, CORGI advertise their own one which is Worksafe Manager, but you need to pay a yearly subscription for the certificates, seriel numbers etc......

Another one is ServiceMax 2006 from www.1-2-access.co.uk not cheap but it does everyhting for you in one package including certificates etc.

Personally I use excel and outlook on a PDA which seems to work well. As for invoicing, you can't beat carbon books as that way the customer is invoiced on the spot and payment usually recieved at the same time if your lucky.
