Soil pipe connection for two toilets

Does anyone know if it is possible to have two soil pipes from two toilets joining up internally before going out to the soil stack or does each soil pipe have to go through the wall and join up at a different point on the soil stack? If they can join up internally does anyone know how this should be done? Thanks
