soil pipe drainage

im moving our washer to a utiility room.and would please like to know can my machine drain to the base of a soil pipe.im a bit concerned that \\\"stuff\\\" could come back up the stand pipe and up the outlet hose. Any advice would be appreciated

no because the soil pipe runs to an inspection cover, dot directly to the sewer (unless it gets blocked)
 
Use a sink or wash basin cannection to the soil pipe as if you were adding a sink waste to it. This will provide a U bend which will stop fumes coming out to the washer. It ia advisable to heve a vent where the washer hose joins the waste pipe to prevent the water in the U bend being syphoned out. Vertical length of waste pipe with the hose feeding into but not sealed to this vertical

Take note of the local regulations ( building control officer a the local council can help ) and how the fit the connection to the soil pipe
