We're replacing our toilet and want to turn it around. The existing setup is in this picture:

How does this come undone? And how do we connect new soil piping to it to take it around a corner and then connect to a new "rear exit" toilet?

All help appreciated.
Thanks
Ant

If that pan connection is cemented to the floor you willl need a bolster chisel and whack it at the base of the pan to cut in clean off. Make sure no bits fall down the soil pipe. You can then use a 90 degree pan connector to connect a new toilet.

Done that. It was cemented down, but luckily onto marly tiles and they came up easily.

I now have the large collar and a section of the old S trap inside it. Cement between the two.

Really I want rid of the collar. Can I just chisel that off to floor level?

Then I want to connect into it and take the soil pipe around the corner of the room and onto the back of the new pan. How do I connect plastic soil pipes onto the old one in the floor after the collar has gone?

All help appreciated. I don't want to end up digging up the floor!

Dont just chop the collar off as you could split the pipe in the concrete, best cut it off with grinder.

Youll then be able to get a bent pan connector which fits inside existing drain to get you where you want to go,all Plumbers mechants sell them.
