Maybe a stupid question, but why are they 92.5 degrees rather than a true 90 degrees?

a plumb vertical stack pipe connecting to a true 90 degree bend would effectively be connecting to a drain that runs level.
drains don't run level.
they run to a fall.
thats why most '90 deg' (below ground) bends are in fact 87.5 degrees.
