Hiya
I've got a leak from where my vertical plastic soil pipe enters the cast iron section embedded in the floor. No movement in either.
Can I cut a section of the plastic one out and use the flexible pan connector to join the 2 together?
Or any other solution?
Many thanks.

You want a cast to plastic adapter

Which isn't really that far removed from a toilet connector TBH. Bit more robust tho.

That bottom bit looks plastic to me, but as madrab has stated a drain connector would be better suited than a flexible one. I would use a slip coupling as well and cut the grey plastic higher up to give you better access.

Definitely iron!
The problem, as I see it, is lack of any movement in the plastic - that's why I was wondering about a flexi.
Would this slip coupling do it then, undertrained? Not seen one of them

Yes, there is the lack of movement and space to cut. However if you can cut it then yes a slip coupler such as: https://www.jtmplumbing.co.uk/pipe-fittings-c433/jtm-above-ground-soil-fittings-c741/jtm-double-socket-slip-coupler-p23366/s31451?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=jtm-double-socket-slip-coupler-black-ds-slip-coupler-110mm-black-ds-slip-coupler-110mm-spb0019&utm_campaign=product+listing+ads&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI6aLbjKm34QIVS7XtCh150QWrEAQYAiABEgIB-_D_BwE with plenty of lubricant or grease, Or even a flexible connection as Ian has stated:

Other merchants and suppliers are available

If there's no play on the pipe get one of Madrab's drain adaptors and 2 slip collars, easiest way is to cut out a section about 18 inches long about 3 feet from the ground level, fit the drain adaptor and one of your pipe cuttings, measure the gap you have left, cut that size from the other cutting of pipe and chamfer and grease it, push on the slip collars all the way on the pipe, mark the plain ends of pipe half the length of the collars so you know you have the right amount of slip, an old hand saw and a decent file are all you'll need.

youve got a fillet of sand an cement packed around the CI pipe stub - usly done in hope of sealin a leak.
i'd cut the pipe above the hub an remove the connector an then clean out the s&c fillet from all around the stub/hub.
then you can see whats goin on.you might even have a cracked CI hub an a leak at the connection?

the plastic to CI adapter an the DC115 will probly be best way to go.
the DC115 cuts out any messin about an can be future used as a roddin eye.
you can buy 1M lengths of grey soil pipe
