Could anyone advise on where a rodding eye should be located to first floor WC's to allow for rodding in the event of a blockage?

Why not simply use a screw-on end cap?

Is one required to the junction where it meets the soil stack or is rodding from this point (screw cap) adequate for getting around the junction?
