Hi,
I am laying a solid Oak floor in my hall 4.5 Mtrs x 2.5 Mtrs. I am removing the skirting boards and trimming the bottom off the door frames to get a neat fit, but I am a bit stuck as to what to do with the stairs especially as the bottom step has a bull nose curve to the sides making it difficult to to cloak the required expansion strip. Anybody got any ideas?

Is the bottom stair carpeted. If it is this will cover the first 1/2 to 3/4" around the bottom of the step thereby hiding any slightly unsightly trimming of the wood blocks you may get
