I am sure you can fit solar panels to charge the batteries but they would not work the motors direct.
I have put solar panels on a tractor to stop battery going flat when not used for a long time and I think to stop battery discharging for items left unused for long periods great but the electronics required to extract the maximum power means they tend to be rather large units not really suitable to be used mobile.
