I'm looking at buying a 1940's 3 bed semi solid brick. The soldiers above the window are dropping and need sorting out. The plasterboard to the soffit of the reveal inside is sagging and feels moist. I imagine weather is seeping through here causing that. What kind of lintels would you use for this and how much would I be looking at per 8ft window. Thanks

External single leaf lintels are available. You may need to consult a designer as you are retro fitting non-arching masonry, i.e. soldier courses. You may get info' from the manufacturer...?

Probably about £400 per window.
