Whats the best way to fit solid wood flooring?

I've fitted laminate flooring before but the solid wood looks a lot different, should I glue the joints together?

I can't glue the back of the boards as it will be on underlay.

any advice would be appreciated.

If I use that underlay would I need to glue it? the self adhesive means the back sticks to the floor doesn't it?

Cheers

No, the glue is for securing the floor together, a clear sheet over the glue is peeled back as each board is laid exposing the glue under the floor.Great in an open room but more care needed when laying in a hallway.
