Alarm

YG3 is allowed to rant and rave over what little he knows and there is no chance of a reply as he gets the topic locked. With his rant left for all to see.

He states he does not like fobs or tags.
That is a shame as the Police and insurance companies DO.
They require them to cut down false alarms. People getting drunk and putting in wrong codes for instance, causing false alarms. Or falsely putting in duress codes (Although removed they can be used again at certain grades).

It is a regulation for graded systems to have (When Policed) to have a separate setting procedure. And even used anyway, by progressive companies.
We are not interested in ungraded DIY systems that seem to not even be able to part set correctly. That have issues with adding sounders and fobs.
So we avoid the thread, try doing that to ours ;)

Back to your great idea, nobody would want or accept this idiotic idea. It was tried and (Look it up if you want) and failed miserably. Just like your flawed pathetic argument again. (Cars).

You or rather others were given a tongue in cheek example of "voice off" capabilities and then YOU assumed everyone in the world except yourself would not see it given as a humorous example.
When it was pointed out several times as per usual your hackles were raised.

Rather than blast away here looking stupid, do as I suggested and lobby your MP. The car makers, your lone screaming and shouting is bound to have a real impact.

Actually the car keys are statistically not kept in the kitchen by the kettle.
One of the many reasons for letterbox hoods. But again you run off without even checking your wild guesses.
Perhaps you should have word with Mercedes and their card entry system. ACT or other access manufacturers. List goes on, but you note your the only one who feels this strongly.

It is really time you were only allowed to comment on Yale products. As you clearly have no understanding of anything else related to the security industry.

I sincerely hope this is left here and not removed.

Ah sweet all your ickle mates have thanked you..bless.

As for me locking threads - forgetaboutit. I do not ask for any threads to be locked the modrators do it of their own accord.

Yes the police WILL vote for ANYTHING that cuts down false alarms as it stops their time being wasted.

I seriously can't see why security has to be comprimised for everyone on that basis though or just because people are drunk or forgetful.

Does security have to be idiotproof to the point it doesn't actually work?

Fine we can talk all we want about which wireless system (if any) is secure or what method is best for setting alarms but ALL security is only as strong as the weakest link in the chain.

I won't even get into a pedantic debate about whether keys are left on a kitchen worktop or a hall table because that is just infantile. The point was that keys just get left around and are therefore then THE WEAKEST LINK IN THE SECURITY CHAIN.

As for part set problems on Yale systems - that would be absolutely brand new news to me because I have never experienced it and there's enough systems out there to cause an issue like that to have definately come to my attention.

To start with
that would be absolutely brand new news to me because I have never experienced it and there's enough systems out there to cause an issue like that to have definitely come to my attention.

Like the one you just had removed by Europlex a little while back? Where a part set cannot be unset indoors with a fob.
Its getting rather boring your tat is allowed to be praised but when a valid comment is made you run off crying for removals of FACTS.

Security HAS to be idiot proof to be effective, and for you to work on anything more than a remote control.

The weakest link is the persons responsible for the security, the sooner you digest that then the better for all. ~You can have the vest, or your tat and if it and certain procedure are not followed you may as well give the items away.

Why did you thank me, as you disagree. Are you that stupid ?
The others did as it was a valid response.

Do grow up, realise your trying to discredit professionals. Not people who have to give tips on design faults. Tell lies or make dodgy clips on You tube.

I hate to mention this to you again within two posts but I do not go off asking for the threads to be locked or europlanks posts to be removed.
It's not a part set issue it's an any set issue the reason you can't unset the alarm indoors with a keyfob is a SECURITY FEATURE! I have explained why on the other thread but I guess it just bounced off your skull.
I'm not trying to discredit professionals you are doing that all by yourself quite nicely. I just defend myself from your onslaught which now in your armoury you have the earthshattering news that the microswitches close more positively if you bend the tabs a little..hooraaay run off to trading standards in raptures Alarm - who need porn eh?

Oh why did I thank you - seasy when people read your profile and look to see what you were thanked for they will stumble accross this thread where you are spouting off like a deranged fool and take everything else you say with a pinch of salt like they should.

Carry on name calling, the usual defence of someone without a clue. No defence for their product and no idea of the real world and security situations involved.

But just for conformation you cannot use a system designed for home use with its peripherals as they do not work when used for home use.

Classy

Alarm - why don't you talk to Yale with your concerns they would be really interested to hear what you have to say to improve their products. Sadly your wild assumptions are wrong as usual.
Please don't let your animosity for me make you look stupid in front of your peers.

Think about what you are doing it's getting a bit out of hand

Stop trying to defend the fact your fitting DiY kit for money that does not do as a decent system would.

You try and tell people how things work and have not the slightest idea.

Everyone here can see that.

So do us all a favour................................
