all sorted........complete re wire and a new programmer...simple as that

... nothing to do with the 3 way valve thingy as originally diagnosed.

Complete rewire after the first 'engineer' screwed it up and a new programmer, (the original fault no doubt). Only needed a new Heat Exchanger and casing and you'd have had a new boiler! LOL!
Since you had it 9 months its not exactly an Ideal advert for them is it?

Glad to see its fixed, (for now), though.
