When I rebooted, it lost a lot of settings, passwords etc and it took me a while to get things back as they used to be. I'd prefer to avoid going through that again!

None of which is part of the BIOS settings..

What do you see when you double-click that Intel Display Audio in Device Manager?
Or you could always try Google.....

In Audio inputs and outputs, it says Microphone Logitech

In Sound, video and game
Intel(R) display audio, it says the device is working properly. Updating driver doesn't help
Logitec mic, it says the device is working properly (it probably is).
