Shower room adjustment going on. We need to push the position of the fan up because of the shower enclosure profile now clashing with original vent hole. Unforseen complication. Space is tight

Vent is on outside wall

I noted a Steeple 12v fan has frontplate dimensions of 156 x 156

Can you get a suitable zone 1 fan any smaller ? Every mm matters !

Thanks for any insight.

Missed that.

Guess it wasn't as compact as I thought...

yes 100mm diameter. Thanks for suggestions TTC

Both those options I have never seen before. The outside one looks like a monster !

The Ruck in I could not see the rating for what Zone. It needs to go in zone one.

It will not be in a zone, it goes inside the duct inside the wall! Think about it ..

Thanks for coming back so quickly TTC

I am not an electrician ... but I'm thinking technically it could still get splashed ( although unlikely)

I wonder what do the regs say about where zone 1 ends when a duct is involved ?

My situation is that it would have to sit in the duct in the wall cavity as the hole is in an outside wall and the thickness of the wall ain't that much. I'll have to measure it. So the duct will not offer much protection from moisture because its so short.

It’s fine. You can put it there. Zones are INSIDE the room, not in the wall.

It’s a fan designed for use in environments which can be damp and steamy.
