Hi, Is having an extractor fan within zone 1 acceptable?
I'm putting a shower in but the fan is situated about a foot above where the shower is being mounted, Would it be advisable to move it, Would a 12v one be alright? Cheers.

It must be:

A) At least IP44 rated
B) Either SELV or protected by 30ma RCD
C) Not reasonable to locate it elsewhere

Dont know exact height off hand, I'll just move it to ceiling away from reach and duct it out through the attic. Thanks all :)

Even so, if its in the cubicle use an approved SELV device (12v) & make sure it is designed for use in steamy areas

Thanks for your replys, I'll see if the customer wants an appropriate 12v one or for me to move the existing one :)
