Spam posts. Who cares?

I give up.

I see more spam posts on this site than any other forum site I visit.

What is it with the registration process that allows this type of poster to get in?

Other forums don't allow new posters to post links, they have to have some site history first.

With most forums you have to activate your registration via a link sent to the e-mail address you supplied to check you have a valid e-mail address - this then stops most spam getting through.

they're busy going nowhere, isn't it such a crime ?
they're like to be unhappy but we never do have the time.
they're have to watch the river to see that it doesn't stop,
and stick around the rosebuds so they'll know when to pop.

Better keep those crickets cheerful, they're really a solemn bunch,

I'd like to meet a turtle, and teach him how to swim,
then I have to shine the dew-drops, they're looking rather dim.
Meet my friend the robin and buy him a brand new vest.
