Sparking Heaters

I have a 2.25 kW storage heater and a 1 kW bedroom panel heater. I have noticed that both seem to generate considerable sparks within the casings, but visible at night through the vents, when the thermostats switch the elements on. Do I have anything to worry about?

its not ideal, it shows the contacts are starting to wear and that its an inductive load
