Yes. Copper can be used straight into their fittings. Just round out and deburr the pipe to ensure the seal doesn't get damaged.
Inserts - The standard inserts can be used on all fittings, the superseal fittings are designed only for the pushfit fittings as an extra seal but to be honest I only ever use their standard inserts.

Superseals have been about for a while and yes they can be used with the older pipe. The are a belt and braces insert they introduced to provide a 3 point seal rather than just the seal of the fitting itself. Either or will do.
