Hi.

I'm a fairly competent DIY'er moving a rad from one side of a first floor bedroom to the othe over a distance of 3.5metres.

Joists run in direction of new pipework so no need to lift floorboards if I use speedfit flexible pipework.

However pipework will only be resting on ceiling of room below; i.e. not clipped if I dont lift the floorboards.

Will it be okay like this or will it try and pull itself from the speedfit elbows I'll be using as the lengths tend to try and curl back up when I have cut them?

Cheers

Many are fitted unsupported like that! Not very professional though! Mine are like that at home!

The pipes should never be in tension at joints!

Thanks for that, so it would seem if I can get a couple of supporting clips in near the joints I should be okay though not ideal.

Speedfit Polybutylene is less prone to coil itself back than PEX.
