A part of a wheel is a SPOKE, another word for people is FOLK, so how do you spell the word for the white of an egg?

I think it can be spelled either way - so I'll take the cigar without shame

No - it's a cross-shaped wooden construction attached to the shoulders of a pair of oxen, and running between them, which is then attached to the load that they are pulling.
