split ceiling light into 2 seperate rooms

Hi. I am splitting office room into toilet and smaller office.
At the minute light is in the centre of room. The question is can i use the same wiring from existing ceiling light to connect it to toilet light but i need seperate switch obviously? If its possible please advice how.

That would depend on the way the lighting circuit is configured, do you have pictures you can upload of the terminals at the existing switch and light fitting.
Some are looped in at ceiling light, some are looped in at switch and some are hashed up in the ceiling void! So that information would help with the best recommended way to install.
Do have RCD protection on this circuit?
And at this point it would be worth looking in Wiki and understanding lighting circuits.
