I'm interested in these components , can someone tell me whether the control panel has to be wired directly into the mains , or does it just a 3 pin plug jobbie ?

/Thread hijack over

You could wire a plug into the panel but id advise against it. They are designed to be hard wired into a fused spur. an unswitched one at that

from an electrical safety point of view a plug and socket is fine, however it leaves the possibility of the alarm being unplugged either accidently or maliciously. They do have battery backup but it is still imo not a good idea to leave them so easy to disconnect.
