Been helping a mate out this week doing PIR's....thought I'd stick some pics up (seeing as you all like pics so much) from a local sports centre.....

4mm radial doubled up with an already well loaded ring final.......even though there were spaces available in the board.

One of 6 SCFU's (that were all wired like this), feeding a hair drying station in a sports centre

One of six SFCU's feeding hairdriers (converted hand driers) in the swimming pool changing area.... every one wired the same. Apparently they'd never had any problems so they are OK

I guess who ever second fixed the FCU's had no idea what the cables where, and where expecting a flex to be installed at some point!

Typical large contract with no communication!

That DP switch on the trunking.......got to be a domestic spark out of depth, or an electrician miles from home, and miles from a wholesaler on a Friday afternoon!

What sort of shower?
Just to clarify the 2nd pic isn't just a ring? One set of wires is the supply and the other is the drier?

Yep all 6 fcus were on individual radials on 20A type C breakers, with the loads connected straight into the supply terminals. centre manager said it couldn't be a problem because they've never had problems with them.

The shower switch was feeding a bank of 6 pumps and pir sensors in the gents changing rooms, fed from a 20A breaker with no further fusing down at each pump
