Hi, hope someone can shed some light on a project. (':D')
I am thinking of replacing the existing pendant lights in the kitchen and extension to spot lights in both areas controlled by switches from either room and am a little confused to the wiring for the switches.
I will run the 1.5 mm twin + earth for the lights and 1.5 mm 3 core + earth for the two switches, also will run 1.5mm twin + earth from the first of the lamps of each room to their respective switches. The supply will be from the cu to a junction box and the two circuits of 1.5mm T + E will run from there to the two rooms.
Thanks

Please see the diagrams

That should be clear enough. Each light has 1 switch wire and then from that position you run a 3 core.

If you can't follow the diagrams please employ someone, Part P would apply anyway due to kitchen location.
