Hello, hope I can get some advise,

Some history.....I've recently bought a new family home which is gets its water from a local spring. The water has gone through peat - in the Pennines so is Acidic, it also only has about 1 bar of pressure.

We're having an external pump fitted with filters and PH thing to sort the acid out (Marshalls in Oldham). All water entering the house will now be ok.

The Q is: Can we still fit an unvented system with external pump - large house with very cold spring water coming into it so think a combi would struggle.
The pump will kick in when the water is demanded will that work with something like a Mega flow or Copper form cylinder?

Also we'd be keen to fit a Solar panel on our South facing roof. Can anyone recommend a cylinder that'll let us use a conventional heat source (nat gas) and add solar ar a later date. I have seen that some of the cylinders have 2 elements in them.

Any advice is appreciated, ta

You will be fine with a Megaflo or similar, I would advise you to go for a Stainless Steel cylinder though as the water could be slightly agressive.
