Hi
I recently installed a new Abru loft ladder which came supplied with a sprung arm. The ladder works fine as it is but I decided to fit the spring this morning.

I'm hoping this is a silly question but, I can't see how to keep the ladder in the loft when stored because obviously it wants to spring forward and down (as it should). The hatch itself has insulation on the inside so it's not as though the ladder can 'slide' along the hatch.

Any ideas? If not, I might just leave it off.

Ta!

Going by their site pics, looks like you would have to remove the insulation if you want to fix it to the hatch cover
