Spur Spur

some frown on two spurs from the same point but i don't think it is explicitly prohibited anywhere.

What's the difference between two spurs from the same jb and two spurs from jb's adjacent to each other?

Quite, plug. But there is a flaw with this theory. Where do you draw the line? I have seen before a jb stuffed with 2,5's. Two were the ring, the rest were spurs.....

I also thought - where do you draw the line?!

I was thinking just 2 spurs might be OK, as there are 4 entry points in the junction box!

So it would be a problem if the 2 spurs were both double sockets would it?

i would think its ok as its not putting any more load at a single point than a spur taken from a socket.

In a domestic situation serious problems with ring imbalance are pretty much unheard of generally due to the fact that the only appliances that draw a full 3KW for significant periods are heaters and you tend not to site those close together ;).

securespark just how many runs of T&E did you find in this junction box?

Rewire it:
