Firstly I realise this is notifiable.

I have an electric extractor hood with light, over the top of my gas hobs that is fed from a spur from a socket to a fused switch above the kitchen units:

kitchen socket on ring---spur---fused switch above units---extractor hood.

My question is, am I able to extend this spur from the existing fused switch to another fused switch underneath the kitchen cabinets to add under cabinet lighting? (3x linkable 10W flourescent strips)

If so, I am presuming 13 amp fuses and 2.5mm cable?

cheers.

If already fused to 13 amp then no point in adding a second 13 amp fuse. And once fused down from 32 amp to 13 amp you can add as many sockets as you like it is only the same as using an extension lead with multi sockets.

But where items come under Part P you are better asking the person who is signing the completion certificate no point in involving a third party.

He who signs the paperwork calls the tune.
