allrite every 1

am here because am jst bak from canada on hol and discovered square head screws are the norm over philips/pozi drve, and i have found them to be of better quality an alot easier to use

coming home tho to scotland ive found i cant get them anywhare!!!!!!!!!!!

does anyone know of a hardware/ fixings store that stocks them?

they might be listed under "coach screws/bolts" try one of the bigger/trade chains rather than the high street diyers
 
I have searched the web for UK suppliers, I can't find any. It's an order to Canada unless Kreg pocket screws would do, but they're not cheap. UK option is Spax torx head screws.

Thanks xerxes. They are better than the Pozidrive from the cam-out viewpoint, but you need more drivers to cover the range, rather like Torx. I suspect the Torx can deliver more torque before giving up. Remember the square head is simple and was developed in 1908. I must get a trade pack.
 
i know these screws i have used them over here. they don t usually come loose but in a collated strip for a screw gun maybe look under collated screws. i know where to get them locally to me but not nationally.maybe screwfix direct
