Can anyone help please? When I turn my boiler on at anytime of the day it makes quite a loud squealing noise, it seems to be loudest close to the boiler, this happens when the boiler fires up and it doesn't seem to do it for the hot water.

I have been told I might need to get a product from a shop that will reduce the noise by pouring it into the small tank in my loft and draining some water from a rad to get it round the system, is it as simple as that or should I try something else? I have one rad that needs bleeding every so often, do I need to try and bleed them all?

Thanks in advance

Uh oh, open vent? Needs regular bleeding? Sounds like the pump is dying

The pump is brand new but thanks anyway.

I sorted the problem, the boiler had been turned up (somehow) to number 5 (Very very hot) so I turned it down to between 3 and 4 and it is fine now.
