Staining Pine Doors

I have tried in vain to get a uniform finish on some interior pine doors but after 3 coats of ronseal wood stain they still look streaky.

I/ve sanded down between coats etc. but am lost as to what is going wrong - any sggestions and remedies.

was it quick drying? if so, you have to apply and lay off pretty swiftly to get a good finish.
