I'm painting my window boards in our small bedroom and they were originally stained brown.

I sanded them and then used two coats of ronseal stain and knot block primer before putting two coats of satinwood on top.

I've got light brown rings showing in the paint, what can I do to fix it? 97A1857C-769F-4824-91CA-EB93C2B87A51.jpeg

Im surprised the stain block didn't work. Was it a water based one ? Some of the water based ones are not as good. Use some good old oil based undercoat or a coat of Zinsser Coverstain, which is oil based.

The ronseal stuff seems to be waterbased. I'd go for Robbie's advice.
