Stains showing through even though Zinsser and 2 coats of emulsion used

Hi all, as the title says. Here are some pics. Only on 2 walls but those walls were the most stained.
I guess I shd use another coat of Zinsser and two more coats of emulsion.
Could that work?
Anything stronger than Zinsser I shd try?

You need zinsser BIN on that

I Used Zinsser 123. Is BIN better at blicking stains then?

Just checked with Grok. BIN does have better stain blocking qualities.
As it is oil based, I guess I need a sponge roller no?

I've always relied on a good aluminium primer to lock stains in and then never looked back.

Zinsser 123 is not a a good stain block. It's misleading.
It's more for old dirt stains and for stains that won't push through emulsions.
It's a primer undercoat and sealer that's waterbased.

I have been turned to bin by warners , its great

I leave the lid off the tin for 15 minutes to thicken it up

I like zinser cover stain but that's a 24 hour, at least , cure time

Wickes stain block undercoat is obviously a very similar product and I find ok after 6 hours

But bin or block and bond ...same stuff , different brand ....is the best

Yes its a good primer undercoat ...but if used as such ....very expensive compared to say leyland

Not good for kids pen marks , water damage etc

Bin or oil based undercoat or cover stain
