Standing desk table top

I bought this standing desk from amazon. The tabletop came cracked and the seller has refunded the full order instead of offering a replacement. The frame is good but I want to fix a solid wood table top. Any recommendations on one that is not too expensive?

Plywood 's pretty cheap, get it cut to size in B&Q.

It’s only 1200 x 600 mm, right?

What sort of finish would you like? I made a desk with a bamboo board, finished with hard wax oil, but that wasn’t cheap. You could use plywood, and finish with wax oil, wood stain, varnish or paint. Or you could apply a veneer of some sort.

Or use a “timber board” type product:

25-38mm planed all round plank, edge glued and angled screwed underneath.

But why not just colour resin what you have or decoupage and resin or cover with photos and add a hard plastic sheet.
