Good day to you. All advice appreciated. Thank you. I had the above curved stairlift fitted new in 2018. It has not be used for several months except for an occasional maintenance unoccupied journey to the top and back again. I would like to grease the tracks to prevent rust from forming (live close to the sea). I have in the workshop white lithium grease and wonder if this is the preferred choice? I can forsee a time when removing the seat would be advantageous to enable larger household furniture to pass. I might remove the seat, the back and the arms to give more room. The gearbox, batteries and motor would stay in place. This is a manually swivelled seat. Any advice much appreciated before I open the chair up to have a look. I would use a Stannah engineer to recommission when and if required at a later date. Thank you.
