Starmer's treachery

Davey asks if our taxpayers should bear the cost of rescuing tax exiles.

A tax exile is an individual, often high-net-worth, who leaves their home country to reside elsewhere to avoid high income or capital gains taxes.

Ok so someone who has most probably had enough of having 60p taken from each pound they earn as opposed to a 3rd or less, therefore most probably contributed a fair bit of tax in the past, possibly more than some here do their whole lives.
So you could argue yes they somewhat deserve us chucking them a lifeline.

We bear the cost of absolute freeloaders rocking up here and completely abusing the system without putting a penny back in.

Naa, they made their bed let them lie in it

The US did tell us what was coming, hence their request to use our bases. From what i've read, they didn't share the exact timing because the Israelis spotted an opportunity to kill the Iranian Leadership, so acted decisively.
That would have given us several hours notice, but instead there was an arrogant assumption we would say how high when we were told to jump
Something that our PM is fundamentally unable to do.
He’s been very decisive, distinguish that from disagreeing with him
It should have been clear to Starmer that once missiles started flying, there was only one direction of travel and that is that we would end up involved in some form. He didn't have to agree to use our (limited) forces against Iran, but he should have agreed to allow the US to use their airbases based in the UK and Diego Garcia.
It’s an illegal war under international law, self defence is legal
We've just now ended up with the worst of both worlds, something that seems to be a recurrent theme with Starmer
That Trumpf s theme not Starmmers. Have you heard of British interests?
He really has to be the most ineffective prime minister we've ever had. I accept that in a democracy we will get governments that do things i don't support, but Starmer's ineptitude is staggering, verging on treasonous.
I’m no fan but he’s handled this difficult potentially disastrous situation well.

Interesting you should ask that.

Where was the drone launched from?
I'm sure you already know the answer.

No one actually knows for sure because it came in low to avoid radar. But the speculation is that the Iranian made Shahed drone was launched by the Iranian backed Hezbollah in Lebannon.

So why don't you just make the point that you're trying to set up?

If you are rearming millions you don’t need to go abroad
Ok so someone who has most probably had enough of having 60p taken from each pound they earn as opposed to a 3rd or less, therefore most probably contributed a fair bit of tax in the past, possibly more than some here do their whole lives.
My heart bleeds for them

We should rescue our own country folk in need

It's funny..people who don't know the value of heard earned money don't understand the concept.
Saying that even when I wasnt well off I never resented the hard working risk takers, at the same time I didn't quite understand them. It's all relative. I get why Lewis Hamilton etc all go to Monaco. They don't want to fund all the lazy fcks in our country. I don't blame him, I certainly don't resent him. And if he needed rescuing from somewhere of danger I'd support that too.

And a good two weeks late, he ordered the readying of HMS Dragon to sail, to offer defence.

I have no idea why Starmer is refusing to support our ally, Donald Trump, in his actions in Iran. I can only assume that if you follow the money to whoever is pulling the strings of his (probably illegal) occupation of Downing Street you'll get your answer.

However, what is true is that his decisions will inevitably provoke sanctions from Donald, foreseeably so.

There is a word for someone who deliberately acts or lobbies to provoke a foreign power to attack their own country: Traitor.

Today's PMQs is going to be epic. I cannot wait for Nigel's scolding of the traitor. Cannot wait.
For years people have been moaning that Tony Blair dragged us into an illegal war in the middle east - many times on this forum people used this to attack labour etc.

And now a labour leading is trying not to do that, people are complaining that he's not charging into another illegal war in the middle east.

I am starting to think some people's opinions might be a bit biased.

If Boris or Farage said no to war, would you be so critical?

But you like to conflate someone that doesn't like islamic extremists as automatically anti muslim and in that assumption you are categorically wrong.

What's your opinion of people who conflate those who don't like Zionist extremists or Israel's treatment of Palestine as automatically anti Judaism.?
