Start up problem with my Corsa?

Hey room,

I own a P reg 1996 Corsa merit. Earlier today I got in and turned my key in the ignition, I could hear the starter motor turning very slowly then it just died. I continued to try until I only partially turned my key, instead of fully. Then the engine fired up after about 10 seconds.

Can anyone provide any input on whats wrong with my car, if you need any more information please ask.

Try it again, if it does the same, it will probably be a faulty ignition switch. Renew it.

Yeah still the same.

Assuming it is the ignition switch, what does that cost to replace?

My corsa has exactly the same problem... can you tell me if changing the ignition box worked?
As I have spent a lot of money trying to sort out the problem and I don't want to waste anymore money.

No it turned out I had a faulty battery. Which obviously didn't cost me too much.
