Hi everyone didnt know where to post this but anyway ive just stripped down 37 metres of 4 core steel armoured cable how much roughley would i get today if i took it to the scrap and when is the best tiem to take it ? thanks very much tom

Take it to a scrapyard and ask, we don't know. You forgot to say what size the cable is (you said its length). Also what is the quality of the cable (if you burn it you get less) what is the final weight of the copper? etc, etc.

Hopefully you kept the copper and ditched the (fairly) worthless steel wire!

im not actually sure what size the wire is but each strand is about 8mm thick

Prices are right down at the moment. If you're not desperate to get rid hang onto it for a while.
Looks like 25 or 35mm to me.
Too late for that now - he's stripped it...
Time to open the little referenced reg pages on bare conductors....
