Hello guys,
I’m currently having an extension done 3m x 6m and having a wall removed to make my existing dining and kitchen all one and bigger. My current floor is wooden joists and the builder said match them in the extension.
I’m going to over them with Caberflooring plus which is moisture resistant and lay underfloor heating and screed on top to form one whole level floor. Once the kitchen and island is fit, i’ve been looking at getting a stone tiled floor which weights 42kg per sqm.
So my question is, getting this floor over my 24 sqm ish span would be around 1000kg plus the weight of the cement to bed them down. Would my wooden floor joists and caber chipboard floor be able to with stand all this weight?
TIA
