The wrought iron gate at the front of my house is set back on the concrete posts and whenever its a bit windy we get a huge pile of leaves build up at the gate.
The gate is approximately 4" back from the edge of the wall.
Anyone got any simple ideas that may help the leaves carry on their way instead of gathering?

I dont think there is any solution.

I expect even if the gates were flush the wrought iron is not solid so the wind passes through but not the leaves.

What you have is a giant colander :)

Apply for a Dispersal Order to prevent gatherings of two or more causing you distress.

Chop the nearby trees down.

My back path is covered with them and the trees are down the road in a school. I wonder if I can get the schoolkids to play "carry them back to the school" :)

You could try a short board, cable tied to the gate bottom as an experiment, stoping the wind, so the leaves go elsewhere.
