recently i changed a float valve in a friends cistern .easy job i know
BUT when it came to reinstating the water supply the top of the stopck (located in a hole set in a concrete floor) snapped off . after much trying etc i had to dig the floor up and get in with my small stillsons to turn it back on . im asking now if anyone has heared or knows of a tool that can be used on a spindle in such a caese

A basin wrench has no chance of working.

You need to use a stud extractor.
