Our Unidare storage heaters worked fine until we had an electicity prepay meter installed, they stopped working all together, the meter was replaced and the heaters worked for one day. Now they only get hot at the top, from halfway down the bricks remain cold, we've hoovered out all the dust, checked fuses and now we're at a loss.
Thanks

Sounds like the Eco7/Eco10 circuit is no longer working. Have you checked the CU trip switches? You haven't downgraded your supply have you?

Most likely they are not being supplied for long enough, only giving chance for the bricks towards the top of the units to store heat. If you can keep tabs on when the E7 circuit turns on and off to prove that you're not getting 7/10 hours of night units (or whatever your supplier guarantees) then you can take it up with them.

Thank you for those answers, my husband timed it last night and we're only getting 2 hours worth, we never realised that the powercompany could downgrade the amount of electricity flowing through. We'll be ringing them tomorrow.
