Storage heater timing issues - Economy 10 / 7

This is an old thread but I think (know) you will find your storage heater is 3000 watts and the figures are per Kwh (1000 watts per hour)

I don't know what your electric heater is but it will not be 3 watts.

kWh are not kilowatts per hour, they are kilowatts for an hour.

A kW is a unit of power; a kWh a unit of energy, i.e. power provided throughout a period of time.

The standard (SI) unit of energy is the Joule. There are 3.6 MJ per kWh.

The standard (SI) unit of power is the Watt. A joule is one watt for a second.
 
Yeah sorry guys I did mean KWh not watt....just got the expression wrong!

Thanks for correcting me as it will make my original post make more sense now :D
