Hi I’m in the throws of fitting roof flashing for a woodburner (see photo).
Whilst I’m overlapping the slates up to the silicon boot, I have concerns that water hitting the upper part of the rubber could potentially track sideways between the slate underside and the aluminium flashing and find a way into the room below. Do you think to prevent this I should use a lead mastik around the underneath of the cut slate tiles around the upper half following the line of the silicone boot? Any advice please?
