Hi after searching the forum I've been surprised to find there's not much info (that I found anyway) on fitting a straight staircase, I guess this is because it's either very complex or very simple (I hope it's the latter)
My q is to attach a staircase which has on one side a brick wall and finishes on a solid brick wall (load bearing), do you just simply drill, plug and screw all the way up diagonally and then a few at the top, this seem's too simple there must be more to it right? Because that would be a quick and easy job wouldn't it?
If the above is correct then which screws and plugs would be okay e.g. would Frame Fixings 10 x 100mm (http://www.screwfix.com/prods/13301/Fixings/Frame-Fixings/Frame-Fixings-10-x-100mm-Pack-of-10;jsessionid=EFYJO5BMBBO3MCSTHZPCFFI?ts=83191) be ok or do you need something even meatier?
If so roughly what spacing would you leave between the screws diagonally up the staircase and how many would you use at the top (it's a pretty standard domestic size staircase).
Any help greatly appreciated pleasey
