STRANGE BOOT LOCK ON FOCUS

I have a 2001 ford focus and the remote locking stopped working. I put a new battery in the key fob and reprogrammed the key but this has made no difference. Sometimes when driving the tail gate lock releases and the tail gate opens up especially when pulling away from stationary. now central locking works apart from the boot button on the key and the boot button on the dash board. any help would be great thanks

i to have a 2001 focus (saloon) with exactly the same problems with boot.
havent got a solution yet.......apart from taking it to a dealership which i imagine will cost plenty.......i wonder if we can get a quick fix on this forum.

cheers gregers, as usual requires parts........cost plenty.....what happened to the old manual mechanisms?.

apparently the sensors goosed.

thats a shame m8,if the experts on that site say you need parts at least you know there telling the truth,they wouldve done every thing over the years to try and rectify faults with out paying your hard earned at the stealers.
